Bling Box Buzz
DENY Designs gets comfy on Martino TV

We just can't get enough!

Last week we were featured on our THIRD television segment. If you live in Colorado, you already know Mister Tom Martino, but for all of you out-of-towners, Tom is a consumer advocate who has been advising Coloradans on purchases, businesses and investments for more than 30 years. Around here, he's simply known as the troubleshooter!  And Friday morning DENY Designs and our beloved BlingBox were featured on his morning show, Martino TV.

Behind the Scenes at Martino TV in Denver

Unlike our TV segments in the past, this time around we didn't have to go to a studio. Instead we were invited to Tom Martino's home in Denver. That's right we set up our display in his living room! We were the houseguests and Tom's wife, Holly Martino, was our host.

Our hanging jewelry box took center stage with our beautiful and always vibrant owner, Kim at the forefront. The three minutes flew by… as always! By the end, Kim and Holly sounded more like two chatty girlfriends than an interviewer and an interviewee.

What a way to start a weekend! We couldn't be more proud. Thanks so much Tom and Holly, we truly enjoyed the opportunity!

Behind the Scenes of the Bling Box Video Shoot

Six different Bling Boxes, seven diverse personalities, eight hours of footage and one goal... to prove that the Bling Box is for everyone! That is what DENY Designs spent all day proving during our recent video shoot.

In a small studio in Denver, we gathered our cast to showcase each Bling Box model. A sea of white was our backdrop, while the hanging jewelry was our main star. Our first talent to hit the stage was our cute couple, Evan and Kim! They rocked it! In fact they were so natural in front of the camera that one would think that they were actors. I assure you that they aren't!

Evan and Kim were followed by our cutest talent of the day... 11-year-old Savana. She is certainly an up and coming fashionista. Mom, you better look out!

Trendsetter Theresa was next. Not only did her fun and funky jewelry look amazing in the Bling box, but her hot pink hair truly popped against our white background. So fun!

After Theresa, stylish and animal loving Carlos took to our stage. But he wasn't alone, he was was accompanied by Riley, his cute pooch! Carlos certainly showcased a different side of the Bling Box filling his box with bow ties, dog collars and very fashionable watches and sunglasses. See guys, the Bling Box isn't just for women!

We wrapped our day up with two TRUE fashionistas. Leslie was first. She is a seasoned fashionista who makes her own jewelry. And just so you know, Cartier has nothing on her. Leslie's jewelry is beautiful and truly unique!

Last but certainly not least, our teenager... Cerena. She came with her own jewelry store, or so it seemed. She had everything from bling bracelets to colorful beaded necklaces. This teen had more bling than three women combined. It was awesome! In fact, some of her items may have gone missing during our shoot and they may have been added to my personal Bling Box. I am just saying she has great taste!

The Hanging Jewelry Box Featured on Denver's Everyday Show!

Lights, camera, action!

Last month, our Bling Box popped it's media cherry after appearing on NBC in Denver. Our hanging jewelry box was featured in the gadget segment. The whole spot lasted about 30 seconds and the response from the viewing audience was amazing.  That's why when Channel 2's Everyday show told us that they wanted us for an entire 2-minute segment we were ecstatic. Now, we certainly don't think of ourselves as movie stars but we do have an extra bounce in our step today!

We arrived at the Denver studio roughly 45 minutes before our segment to set up. This time we brought all THREE Bling Box models to display. Luckily, the setup this time went much smoother compared to our NBC segment. We arrived with our boxes already filled and our walls already assembled. And after just 20 minutes we were ready to go! I guess you could say that we are getting better at this media thing!

Before long, anchor Natalie Tysdal was greeting us and we were LIVE! With a mic in her hand, Natalie introduced the viewing audience to our beloved Bling Box and for the first time, making their television debut, DENY Designs owners, Kim and Dustin Nyhus.

As for the happy couple, they were certainly nervous but you couldn't tell once the camera started rolling. The 2 minutes flew by and before we knew it our segment was over and we were in a commercial break. What a whirlwind experience! Hopefully this is just the first of many TV experiences!

9NEWS Article: Denver entrepreneurs Dustin and Kim Nyhus of www.denydesigns.com came up with the BlingBox. This is a hanging jewelry box that doubles as hanging art. The BlingBox is made from recyclable materials and the front of it can be personalized.

You can either put your own picture on the front or choose from images available on their website that feature local artists. They say it is a great way to support Colorado's art community while organizing your jewelry at the same time.
